Job Search Identifier Staff Proposed Salary $56,273.00 General Summary of Responsibilities Independently perform financial, operational, compliance, and information technology audits; assess compliance with the effectiveness of policies and procedures and strategic initiatives; identify risks associated with operations; evaluate internal controls, the accuracy of records, and the efficiency and effectiveness of operations; provide management with recommendations for strengthening operations; and may perform special projects and assist in investigations. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five to eight years job-related experience required. Internal or external auditing experience. CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), or CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) or other applicable industry certification. Preferred Qualifications A Master's Degree in Accounting, Computer Science, MIS, or other relevant field; OR Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Computer Science, MIS, or other related field plus experience that equates to an advanced degree. Experience with Banner enterprise system Experience working in higher education, state/local government, or public accounting Experience with Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel; demonstrated knowledge and understanding of how technology supports the achievement of University objectives with special emphasis on automated and preventive controls to ensure the Enterprise system and other sensitive information processing systems meet operational compliance to policy and procedures, and mitigate risks Knowledge of Institute of Internal Auditing (IIA) standards.
