SUMMARY: TheQA Technician is responsible for Quality Assurance activities associated withreceiving inspection, labeling, storing, and shipping chemicals at thedistribution centers. This position is required to ensure all product arriveswith required documentation, including: test reports, process and raw materialcertifications, etc. in order to ensure compliance with customer specificrequirements and trackability, thereby avoiding non-conformance to the enduser. Additionally,the QA Technician is responsible for inspecting and verifying that the qualityassurance documents received are applicable, complete and accurate in relationto the product received, in accordance with department work instructions. Ifthere are any conformance issues in paperwork received the Technician will beresponsible for trouble shooting the situation in order to communicateappropriately to internal and external customers, and suppliers, and as seek a resolution for the appropriaterequired documentation. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform quality assurance review through verifying thereceived materials and required certification package (i.e., Test Reports, RawMaterials Reports, Manufacturers Certification of Conformance, ProcessCertifications, Shelf Life, Storage Requirements, and evidence of part numbersand lot numbers) for part traceability and document accuracy in compliance withcustomer/product requirements Utilize inventory management and client qualitysystems/portals as an active company quality representative notating materialinformation and/or discrepancies; document and segregate/placards as required Review and assign shelf life and storage conditions inthe inventory management system based on product and customer specifications Release conforming material consistently (with thefollowing information: lot/batch, expiration date, bin location, placards, andlabels) for warehouse processing (stock put away, picking, shipping, etc.) Perform root cause analysis and communication activelywith the procurement team and suppliers/vendors to resolve discrepancies fornon-conforming materials as required Observe temperature recording devices on storage units,(i.e. freezers) and perform required actions and release appropriatecommunications when outliers/failures occur Provide backup support for processing hazardousmaterials through the shipping process including, but not limited to printingrequires hazardous material certifications, labels, and transportationpaperwork Ensure that all required reports and paperwork aresubmitted correctly and in a timely manner to support both internal andexternal customers for review and processing (for example, Expiring MaterialsReport, Sampling/Testing Reports) Process and coordinate sampling with external customersand certified labs as required Assist in training other team members to ensure integrityand quality of materials is maintained throughout supply chain as required Attend regularly scheduled orimpromptu ,departmental or company-sponsored meetings or training, as required Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: High ...
