The Business Development group at INVISTA is one of the most dynamic groups in the company, helping senior leaders address the most important strategic and financial questions facing the companyincluding both organic value creation and mergers & acquisitions. We are seeking an Associate to join our team in the Atlanta, GA, area. Each Associate generally supports one or more strategic projects at a time working directly with the Director of SBD and/or with a business leader. The Associate is expected to take an active role in problem solving, particularly in the framing and execution of financial analysis. A Day In The Life Typically Includes: Market/Competitor Analysis: Identify potential investment opportunities and competitive threats, through: supply/demand models, cost benchmarking, and proprietary or secondary research on our current and prospective customers. Product & Brand Strategy and Innovation: Assist business leaders in building strategies by: understanding customer needs, evaluating new technologies and service models, identifying and developing go-to-market strategies. Design and execute lean experiments. Decision-making Support: Build analytical tools and frameworks to facilitate decision-making, such as: cash flow models, price optimization models and scenario analyses. Business Development (M&A): Provide strategic and analytical input into mergers, acquisitions and divestitures to ensure maximum returns and consistency with the business vision. Develop the business case for potential acquisitions and divestitures. What You Will Need: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required 2 years of work experience required Experience working with and presenting to senior leaders of an organization What Will Put You Ahead? Preferred Qualifications: MBA Strategy consulting, investment banking or corporate development experience preferred Structured & logical thinking: The ability to identify and define business problems and issues, and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analysis. A strong problem-solving capability is critical to this role. Analytical rigor: Proven capability conducting and managing quantitative analyses. Powerful communication: The ability to communicate effectively and succinctly, both verbally and in writing, across all levels of an organization. Ability to make presentations and communicate in an open and honest way, to build trust and respect. Leadership skills: The ability to gain credibility with team members and senior management, building influence across the organization without direct authority.
