Location: Gainesville, GA Description: The Sr. staff accountant is responsible for account reconciliations, journal entries, and other designated areas of responsibility. Responsibilities Ensure all transactions are accounted for in accordance with U.S. GAAP. General ledger reconciliations, maintain fixed assets, and prepare monthly accruals. Assist with the implementation of controls, policies and procedures to support the startup, growth and expansion of the company. Responsible for processing, reviewing, tracking, and general ledger posting of construction draws for multiple projects. Interface with Project Managers and senior management on all aspects of construction accounting. Drive process improvement and identify opportunities for cost savings. Process journal entries for month-end close, including sub-ledger to ledger reconciliations. Review and reconcile credit card payments and process. Prepares payments by accruing expenses, assigning account numbers, and requesting disbursements. Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for internal and external reporting. Create accounting schedules such as rent, depreciation/amortization, and department expenditures. Analysis of financial statements. Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. Special projects as assigned.
