The main purpose of this job is to assist in all tasks associated with the production of Non Marek’s bulk vaccines and master these tasks as outlined in the Demonstrated Skills Based Training Program.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists in all areas in the production of Non Marek's bulk vaccines. This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Learning and performing all processes related to the production of Non Marek's bulk vaccines.

  • Utilizing sterile technique at all times, using appropriate gowning technique at all times.

  • Learning and working appropriately under laminar flow hoods and in a HEPA filtered environment.

  • Communicating any process deviations or problems to team leader and/or supervisor immediately.

  • Keeping the lab area clean and sterile at all times.

  • Assists with the candling of eggs in Incubation department.

  • Maintains accurate and timely manufacturing records in accordance with standard operating procedures, production master files.

  • Actively promotes safety and awareness in the lab, always acting in occurrence with safety practices.

  • Assists with washing, wrapping, and sterilizing glassware.

  • Assists with transporting raw materials and finished product in and out of the lab areas.

  • Completes daily job duties assigned monthly by team leader.

  • Work cooperatively within a team environment.

  • Able to lift 50 pounds and carry 10 feet.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

May not own or have contact with other birds or poultry.


2-5 years of experience working in clean room lab environment.


Bachelor's Degree in Science field

Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities:

  • Must be a team player.

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and carry it a distance of 10 ft., as well as push / pull.

  • Must be able to squat, bend, and stoop, as well as twisting and turning.

  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity are important.

  • Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time and work in a sterile production environment.

  • Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE.)

  • Must be flexible with availability on a rotating basis and flexible hours during the week (able to work overtime as needed on short notice). This position requires weekend work. Regular attendance is a must.

  • Self-motivated.

  • Ability to think ahead to next task.

  • Ability to work well under time constraints.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
