Job Summary: Under general supervision, provides assistance in the development, negotiation, and evaluation of legal contracts.

Job Specific Duties: Under limited supervision, performs moderate to complex difficulty in the preparation, bid, and award of unique contracts. Duties will include but are not limited to collecting, organizing, and compiling data as it relates to contract-related plans, or other documents.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The selected candidate must meet the advertised minimum qualifications to include State Entry Qualifications as well as Agency Specific Minimum Qualifications

STATE ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or related field from an accredited college or university AND Six months of experience in business, accounting or a related field

  • OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university AND Two years of experience in business, accounting or a related field

  • OR Four years of experience in business, accounting or a related field.

AGENCY SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical Competencies

  • Demonstrated ability to develop, negotiate and/or administer contracts for a business or government organization.

  • Experience with Invoicing and Accounts Payable applications.

  • Demonstrated experience creating reports and monitoring projects progress.

  • General knowledge of computers and software programs such as MS Access, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, TPro, Sharepoint, and TRAQS are preferred.

  • Demonstrates strong communication skills with the ability to listen to others as well as expresses ideas and facts to individuals or groups effectively.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to reason and make sound, well-informed decisions.

  • Demonstrated ability to organize work, set priorities, and determine objectives and strategies to achieve them.

  • Demonstrated ability to monitor and evaluate progress against goals.

  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with clients and customers to provide information and satisfy their expectations.
