What you’ll do on a typical day:
Maintain high standards of operational activities, ensuring that the quality management system procedures are implemented throughout the warehouse
Efficiently develop and manage organizational resources, policies and procedures for increased depth and breadth of capabilities
Ensure compliance with contractual metrics
Hire, train, develop, and appraise staff effectively and consult with Human Resources as appropriate
Focus on safety, quality and productivity requirements in accordance with company needs and customer requirements
Take an active role in site workload planning and volume forecasting
Optimize all resources to meet or exceed production, quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction metrics
Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to and enforcing safe work practices
Lead by example, demonstrating a positive attitude and encouraging teamwork
Communicate well with leadership, team members and other departments
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
10 or more years of progressive experience in supply chain management in a supply chain/distribution environment, with 7 years of management experience
Demonstrated ability to lead teams of staff and supervisors to achieve results
Demonstrated planning, project management, problem-solving techniques and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, warehouse management, database, and time-keeping systems
Experience managing warehouse equipment, its proper usage, and identifying safety concerns
English/Spanish language proficiency
