Job Title: Product Manager Energy Products (2 openings) Department: PSS Product Management Reports to: Director of Product Management, PSS Energy Products The Product Manager will work within the PSS Product Management team and will be responsible for managing the complete product life cycle. This includes improving profitability on existing products, assist in the development of new products and help create competitive advantage. The Product Manager will work closely with all aspects of the organization including but not limited to R&D, Operations, Marketing and Sales. The Product Manager will support the ONE Southwire approach to drive the Company's overall strategy and goals. General Description of Duties/Responsibilities: Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities. Conduct market research with end users of Southwire products, services, & tools to understand how they are used. Validate and implement product ideas initiated from market research, etc. Assist in the design and development of new products, services, and tools for our target markets. Be a market expert to develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute Provide pricing guidance to meet revenue and profitability goals Assist in preparation of annual sales forecast for this market. Be an expert with respect to the competition. Perform sales, trend and profitability analysis. Work with manufacturing and logistics to maintain proper plant loadings and inventory. Travel to customer and non-customer facilities. Other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications and Experience Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Engineering, or Business Administration or related degree along with 5 plus years related product management/development or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have Windows experience, as well as being proficient with Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, and/or Powerpoint) Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven business acumen, exceptional interpersonal capabilities and posses an attention to detail.
