DAL Global Services Industrial Engineer in Atlanta, Georgia



  • Provides staffing analysis for active stations and RFPs across multiple airlines

  • Manage and maintain large data sets used to support the creation of dashboards, reports, and other analytical tools that provide the business and ops leaders with the information and insight needed to improve performance and processes.

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. Perform ad hoc data requests.

  • Provides monthly, weekly and ad-hoc analysis for multiple airlines and DGS Business Units in support of DGS’s Continuous Improvement and performance management processes

  • Provides monthly flight schedule analysis across multiple airlines to senior leaders, regional directors and station leaders

  • Assists current stations and Financial Analyst with staffing analysis to assist in maintain financial and operational stability

  • Provides process engineering, project management and internal consulting services across all facets of the DGS operation.

  • Participates in projects that measure and analyze current processes and operations and develops appropriate solutions designed to improve efficiency, productivity, and performance.

  • Works with senior leaders, regional directors, station leaders, outside customers, resource planning, and planning & profitability on various projects.

  • Creates business cases to support strategic investments.

  • Facilitates change management activities at the operational level.

  • Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.


  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Business or Finance or other equivalent degree is required

  • Prior work experience in process engineering, business process consulting, management consulting with certification in project management (PMI) and blackbelt/greenbelt is preferred

  • Technical expertise in statistics, financial analysis, work measurement, operations management data analysis and benchmarking is required

  • Prior training in staffing analysis process optimization, change management and facilitation with previous operational experience in an airport environment is preferred

  • Advanced computer skills (Excel, Access and Powerpoint statistical packages) are required

  • Able to exercise considerable lattitude in determining technical objectives of an assignment and have the ability to diagnose a complex functional area's strengths and weaknesses to develop recommendations for improvement

  • Are self-directed and can work well under pressure on multiple assignments to meet deadlines

  • Can analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources to develop and communicate complex information orally and in written format

  • Some overnight travel is required
