Summary:

The Desktop Support Intern is responsible for resolving incidents and support requests as well as meeting customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery demands. The Desktop Support intern will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and will be the central point of contact which provides services over the phone, through e-mail, and in person.

Job Details:

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To install and configure new IT equipment.

  • To diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Chrome OS) and across a range of software applications.

  • To assist all users (remote and onsite) with any logged IT related incident/request when called upon and within the SLA guidelines.

  • To accurately record, update and document requests and incidents using the IT service desk ticketing system.

  • To resolve incidents and upgrade request for different types of software and hardware

  • To resolve incidents with printers, copiers and scanners

  • Track and maintain IT inventory

  • Mobile Device Support

  • Audio/Video conference setup and support

  • To maintain a first class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.

  • Maintain excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organization
