Chief Counsel, McKesson Health Systems US Pharmaceutical Distribution, McKesson Corporation Location: Atlanta,Houston, Dallas, Scottsdale Current Need McKesson's well-regarded Law Department is seeking anexperienced healthcare transactional lawyer to serve as the lead attorneyoverseeing all aspects of US Pharma's institutional customer segment, McKessonHealth Systems (MHS)(which includes hospitals, health systems, integrateddelivery networks, clinics and alternate site providers). McKesson'sU.S. PharmaceuticalDistribution business (US Pharma) suppliespharmaceuticals and other healthcare-related services and technology productsto a wide range of retail and institutional pharmacy customers. US Pharma's nation-wide network ofdistribution centers supplies medication to 1/3 of all health care providers inthe United States, and we frequently invest in technology and other systems toenhance the safety and reliability of our core distribution services andtechnology offerings. Primaryresponsibilities: Oversees routine day-to-day legal support forthe MHS customer segment, including of senior legal support for contract drafting,negotiation and strategy for our largest hospital and provider customers (grouppurchasing organization relationships, top customer contracts, federalgovernment contracts); Provides senior business unit oversight forsubsidiaries that provide value-added offerings (including 340B and pharmacyinventory software, consulting, GPO services) to the institutional customerbase; Manages a team of legal professionals (3 lawyersand 2 paralegals) that provide cross-functional support services for the aboveareas; Serves as the key legal advisor to MHS seniorleadership on a wide array of topics relating to the customersegment needs, including legal risk mitigation, customer relationshipmanagement and retention, and strategic initiatives and service offerings; and Frequent interactions with other internalstakeholdersacross functional groups.
