SCA Material Coordinator WSC for the War Fighter Focus (WFF) Contract at Louisville, KY Essential Job Functions: - Coordinates and expedites flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors' priorities. - Reviews production schedules and confers with department supervisors to determine material required or overdue and to locate material. - Requisitions material and establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material. - Arranges for in plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules. - Arranges with department supervisors for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departments. - Examines material delivered to production departments to verify if type specified. - May monitor and control movement of material and parts along conveyor system, using remote-control panel board. - May compute amount of material needed for specific job orders, applying knowledge of product and manufacturing processes and using adding machine. - May compile report of quantity and type of material on hand. - May move or transport material from one department to another, using hand truck or industrial truck. - May compile perpetual production records in order to locate material in process of production, using manual or computerized system. - May maintain employee records. - Responsible for applying comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. - Receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, and work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. - May provide technical guidance to lower level technicians. Additional Job Functions: - Receive and process Service Requests (SR's) from the field create purchase requisitions (PRs) or transfer orders (TOs) from these SRs - Track PRs to ensure Purchase Orders (POs) have been created for parts, repairs and/or services; verify entered in Maximo - Follow-up on outstanding POs utilizing weekly reports - Notify MPM/Logistics Manager of any problems w/OBS, hard to find, no longer available items - Record and maintain NFWT paperwork, submit as requested - Record and maintain warranty info, submit as requested - Coordinate and expedite the flow of material to and from sites and to vendors; create Transfer Orders (TOs) as needed - Coordinate daily with Shipping/Receiving personnel concerning incoming and outgoing shipments. - Research vendors for parts/repairs/services - Maintain VISA and AMEX accounts, reconciling and submitting monthly reports. Basic Qualifications: - This position requires a high school diploma and three (3) years of experience in warehouse production - Must be able to converse orally and in writing with corporate administrative and technical personnel. - Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance if required. - Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence and in selecting tools and testing instruments.
