Job Title: Supply PlannerDepartment: Tools & Assembled ProductsLocation: Carrollton, GAReports To: Director, International SourcingDescription of Duties and Responsibilities:Support the day to day and week to week components of the business ordering cycle.Analyze purchasing requirements, issue purchase orders, expedite delivery and monitor suppliers for accurate on-time delivery.Optimize inventory planning parameters and levels to support customer service while achieving business unit inventory objectives.Diagnose excess to inventory objectives and develop plan to remediate. Calculate and report excess and obsolete.Manage operational variables that impact key company metrics - productivity, line fill, cost of failure, safety and inventory.Review orders for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with existing policies and procedures.Ensure purchasing data quality and maintain standard price, lead time, MOQ's, supplier and material records.Provide inventory analysis per business guidelines and standardized tools.Interface with other departments (Demand Planning, Customer Service, Marketing, Quality and Finance) to resolve problems in an efficient and timely manner.Conduct pro-active research, evaluate findings, and make independent decisions on procurement matters.Identify improvement opportunities to decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide seamless customer service.Support new product development process- Analyzing economics of inventory investment to determine optimal inventory build given launch assumptions and risks.Qualifications and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Operations, Supply Chain Management or related Business degree required; engineering discipline a plus.3+ years of experience in domestic or international sourcing.CPM preferred.Strong computer skills with emphasis on the Microsoft Office suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.Experience with MRP/ERP software systems in execution of material planning and inventory control functions.
