          The Database Administrator will participate in the design, creation, and maintenance of databases in a client server environment. The Database Administrator will design track and store data along with collaborating with the IT Security function to design and coordinate database security systems to safeguard computer databases. He She will be responsible for interviewing clients to assess database needs. apply database programming languages to create or improve databases. test databases. assure that data are secure. coordinate efforts with a team of managers and computer specialists. and update knowledge of tools used to organize and store data. This position will also be responsible for quality control and auditing of databases in a client server environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data. Collaborate with management to develop database strategies to support organization needs. Consults with and advises users to resolve data conflicts and inappropriate data usage.

          QUALIFICATIONS:

          Bachelor’s degree (A minimum of 5 years professional related experience of MS SQL Server environments in lieu Bachelor’s Degree.)

          2 years of DBA experience required.

          Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.

          Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
