          The Clinical Documentation Specialist leads the efforts in developing the clinical documentation improvement program and coordinating documentation reviews to ensure the adequacy of documentation contained in the medical record. Supports the work of the Health Information Management Department by reviewing the clinical documentation to ensure that the patient’s condition is appropriately and adequately reflected in the medical record.

          QUALIFICATIONS:

          Associates Degree.

          RHIA or RHIT with CCS certification with 2-5 years acute care coding experience.

          or

          RHIA or RHIT with 3-5 years acute care coding experience.

          or

          RN or LPN 2-5 years of clinical experience.
