As a Quality Control Inspector at ViaSat, you will focus on the inspection of precision incoming materials for mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic assemblies covering a wide range of commodities. Your expertise in inspection will allow you to perform in-process inspections covering mechanical and electrical assemblies. In our fast paced environment, you will demonstrate your talent using standard inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, radius gages, height gage and other hand held inspection tools.
3+ years of quality inspection experience
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
Competence with standard inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, radius gauges, height gauge and other hand held inspection tools
Strong understanding of quality principles and methods
Inspection techniques, sampling plans (AQL) and standard industry workmanship practices
Ability to work overtime, including weekends as needed
Developed skills using Microsoft Office products
Associates Degree or equivalent experience
US government position. US citizenship required
Up to 10% domestic travel
This position has safety related functions for the FAA; therefore, any offers will be contingent upon successfully passing drug/alcohol screening.
Ability to read Schematics
IPC 610 / 620 Certified Specialist
Operated in a similar Aerospace manufacturing environment
Operated in a ISO9001 / AS9100 organization
Use of FARO Arm's using the latest Software
Knowledge of geometric tolerances
ANSI Y14.5 experience
FAA DMIR (Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative)
The ViaSat Atlanta facility is located in the northeastern suburb of Duluth.
