This PMTS position is the lead systems engineer for AT&T Digital Life Services and Devices. This PMTS will be responsible for working closely with Digital Life operations and marketing organization in new service planning and converting operations and marketing requirements for new services into systems engineering requirements for new services and associated devices. In most situations the systems engineering requirements will include both software application requirements and device interface level requirements.

The applications will be executing on the Digital Life Technology Platform, which consists of set of Back-end applications and a controller platform applications. The combined Network Back-end applications and premise applications provide an execution environment for AT&T security, Home automation and other future applications such as Health, etc. The Systems Engineering Requirements will be established, baselined, placed under change control and then provided to Digital Life development organizations.

The PMTS will work closely with Digital Life Development organizations in establishing and baselining high level design specifications for each new service and associated device(s). It also involves developing interface agreements with respective IT applications. Then the PMTS will work closely with Digital Life Development and System Test organizations during the development and testing to insure that the completed products fully satisfy the Systems Engineering requirements.

This PMTS position will also be responsible for establishing end-end solution architecture for DL Technology working with other SMEs in IT, and third party providers. The PMTS solution involves discussing future direction for the system and to some level software level improvements needed to improve and making DL services scalable and expandable.

Candidate shall have a PhD in an approved field from an accredited university and a minimum of 4
years of relevant experience,or a Master's degree in an approved field from an accredited
university and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or aBachelor's degree in an approved
field from an accredited university and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
Five or more years experience with networks, network protocols, and IP networks and at least
seven years of experience with web development using PHP, Perl, Action script and Java
programming through all phases of the software development lifecycle
as well as experience in Linux, Solaris and Windows
Candidate must have a strong communication skills both verbally and written as well as strong
problem solving skills
Ability to balance and prioritize work and work independently and as part of a team
