Responsibilities
The Atlanta, GA office of O'Brien & Gere currently has an opportunity for a Mechanical Designer. This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

* Executes assignments requiring an intermediate knowledge of engineering fundamentals and the application of these fundamentals to the production of engineering work
* Executes a variety of engineering tasks including data gathering and data preparation for reports and studies, establishment of testing procedures, investigatory studies, engineering design calculations, and layout of facilities
* Produces designs and performs calculations as a member of a project team
* Designs portions of projects of above average complexity when assigned
* Visits job sites to expand field experience, broaden background, and continue the development of practical engineering skills, so as directed by those in supervision
* Adheres to policies and standards set forth in the Firm's Quality System documents
Skills and Qualifications
* 0-3 years relevant experience as a Mechanical Designer with experience in HVAC, Process Mechanical and Piping projects
* B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Passed the EIT exam or is preparing for the EIT exam
* Proficient in AutoCAD, Autodesk MEP, Revit MEP, Autodesk Inventor, BIM and other relevant software
* Position is diverse: Water/wastewater mechanical processes (P&ID development, mechanical piping systems), industrial mechanical (HVAC, process piping, plumbing)
* Expectations are self-starter, work with senior mechanical engineers and develop workable mechanical design drawings
